How are our reborns made?

All reborns start with a vinyl kit that consists of arms, legs, and a head,

as well occasionally a vinyl torso.

The kit is painted with countless layers - mottling, veining, undertones, skin tones, and many other details. The colors are built up slowly in many extremely thin layers and baked to seal the Genesis brand heat set paint.

Hair is often then added by painting with artist's pencils and heat set paints, then the baby skin texture is created with a sealing varnish.

Quality mohair is used to microroot eyelashes, and sometimes hair and/or eyebrows.

Your baby may then receive eyes, gloss for lips, eyes, and nails, and has magnets added.

Then, the baby is stuffed and weighted with glass beads and polyfil, given a doe suede body, and dressed to be photographed and sent to their new home!
